The futility of the Republican Party in recent years is illustrated currently. Mr. Obama is in a very vulnerable situation because of a number of factors, but the GOP does not seem to be able to make any substantial headway in public opinion.
Because they don't appear to really stand for anything anymore, at least at the top of the party, that their previous base can get excited about. My two cents... A
