Andy Devine the athlete

His middle name was Vabre. I do not know that I ever heard that before.

Though he looked fat, slow and soft in the movies, he had been a star football player for Santa Clara University.

    now that is interesting! I best remember him from the Eyes of Texas movie with Roy Rogers we use to watch growing up
