To tell the truth

We realize that the capability of falsehood is in all of us; but when a man even resolves to be truthful and honest and to have that be the tenor of his life, it imposes a considerable burden. It is not an easy thing to do. However, if well done, even in only a general sense, it pays great dividends in the honorable reputation it brings with it.
