If at all possible, every man needs a "fall-back" skill, i.e., something that people will pay for that is distinct from his regular employment. When times get hard, as they are now, this is almost imperative.

Perhaps the best-done of all the old radio shows that we have is The Rasmussen Matter on the Johnny Dollar program. It still makes my eyes get misty when I listen to it.
