Learning history from old radio shows
One of the benefits of listening to old radio shows is the history involved, particularly regarding the home front conditions during World War II. It is amazing how much of conditions on the home front are revealed in those shows. The advertisements, the situations worked into the plots, etc.

Gary Cooper. Better than I thought
I never have thought of Gary Cooper as a particularly talented actor - sort of an aw shucks John Wayne, limited in his scope. However, he won two Best Actor Oscars, so I could be wrong, of course.

Rochester's singing
Rochester's singing had to be one of the highlights of old time radio programs. Absolutely hilarious.
