Hiram Quit Lee

He was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Lee, born in 1883. “Quit” really was his legal middle name. He was the eighth child in the family, and it obviously was their intention not to have any more. His nickname was “Buster,” and his son, Carroll Clay Lee, was known as “Bussie.” Carroll was my uncle, married to my mother’s older sister.
