Two of the old radio programs that really got us started into also collecting old movies were Lux Radio and Screen Director’s Playhouse. The former was in an hour format, which worked pretty well, and the latter in a half-hour, which made them condense pretty drastically. Still, they managed to make the shows interesting enough for us to enjoy them.
