Not better than my fathers
Elijah noted, "I am not better than my fathers." That thought, containing in it the sub-idea, "I am not wiser than my fathers," has been a guiding beacon to me for a number of years. Once I thought I was. I was so very, very wrong.
I'm glad that I'm not smarter than my father. It's comforting to know there are people I can go to for sound, solid advice that is always better and more correct than what I have thought up myself.

I agree. Fathers, and mothers, are a blessing that we should forever be thankful.
