"Who is he?" This is a common expression that is correct. The nominative "he" is used with the being verb "is." People normally say this correctly. However, we would not normally say "That is he," which is correct, but "That is him," which is not correct. Why do we usually get one right but not the other, seeing the two expressions are so similar?
