Sheldon Leonard's voice
Sheldon Leonard has to be one of the most recognizable voices in radio or movie history, although very few people perhaps knew the man behind the voice. The quintessential gangster brogue.

You are correct. The racetrack tout that was always saying "Hey, bud," to Jack Benny.
Really! I was just taking a guess. That was the first roughian that came to mind. ha
He's also in quite a few old black and white movies isn't he?
Yes. He was an active actor, and later became a producer, I think.
