There are beautiful faces

and then there are fascinating faces. The two are not always the same. I have seen people who were very attractive, but nonetheless very ordinary. I have seen others whose aspect had some outstanding defect, but whose appearance was (perhaps because of the defect) very captivating.



And then, take myself, for instance: I have seen children stare at me with a look upon their faces that obviously meant, "How can anyone be that stupid looking!" They were fascinated.
