Dobie Gillis - The Beast with Twenty Fingers

Herbert Gillis and Maynard accidentally get their fingers trapped in a gypsy love link - a novelty item that connects fingers together. "Now get it off before I am up for mayhem, and you are the mayhemee." They try lots of ways to get unhooked, to no avail - including a table saw and an acetylene torch.

Dobie heads out to find the gypsies that sold the trap to Maynard. The gypsy chief has, of course, a beautiful daughter (Ilse Taurins) which "Dopey," of course, falls for. In the meantime, Herbert and Maynard are enjoying togetherness to an extreme degree. And to make it worse, Herbert has to leave for a grocer's convention. The Grocer of the Year has to be there with his wife by his side, so . . . guess who goes in disguise.
