If you want to hear what a tenor is supposed to sound like, get a recording of John McCormack. He was the original Irish tenor, and hugely popular in the WWI era. His rendering of "Il Mio Tesoro" by Mozart is still considered the definitive performance of that aria.

When did Andrew become 41? Have I slept that long? Do you realize how old that would have made me???? UGH!!!!! Glad to have you around 41. And, I agree with Leah, have any of us ever heard that guy?

I believe I heard him long ago when we used to have our phonograph at home. (John McCormack, not Forty-one, of course.)

interesting that you point that out, audreys nanny. it was made a realization to me just yesterday to take my name as meaning my age. it is actually in reference to the great Charlton Heston film, Ben-Hur. (that is his number when he serves in the Roman gallows). thankfully, for both of us, i am not actally forty-one years in age.
