Thoughts on language

Human language was not invented by man. Adam and Eve were able to communicate with God and with each other immediately. Thus it ought to be recognized as a gift and something for which we should be thankful.

Man has, however developed language. Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that language has evolved - but not always positively. The value of language is its ability to express accurately and/or beautifully what the person intends. Common usage of language does not often achieve that end. That is why the "rules" of formal language are important.
