More Torchy Blane trivia

Jane Wyman had a bit part in one of the early Torchy movies, and got the lead role in Torchy Plays With Dynamite. Then, interestingly, a leftover plot that had been planned for the Torchy series was used for the movie, Private Detective, starring Wyman, in which she plays a female gumshoe - also a very nice film.
