Old - and irrelevant?

One of the real burdens of life faced by the elderly is the feeling of being irrelevant. Young people, with their fast pace and often-shallow thinking rarely consider the elderly – either from their duty to them, or of the benefit that the memories and wisdom of the elderly could be to them. It is no wonder that life seems to have little meaning to those who are old, since they seemingly cease to matter to others, except for being “in the way.”

A wise generation will rise up to honor those who have gone before them. Fools rush on to their destruction.
