Walter Hampden as Leonidas Witherall

This was a detective radio program that was not one of the great ones, but it was unique in a couple of aspects. It starred Walter Hampden, who was a serious actor along Shakespearean lines, so this show was a little out of the ordinary for him. He played a Shakespeare look-alike author who was always having to solve murders. His housekeeper, Mrs. Mollett, had an even more pronounced New England accent than he did, and provided the comic aspect of the program.
