Here's Flash Casey (1938)

Flash (Eric Linden) has worked his way through college as a photographer. He gets a job with a newspaper but is fired because he gave a picture to Pop (Howard Lang), the editor of the sister (but competing) photo magazine Snap. He falls for the society editor Kay Lanning (played by Boots Mallory), and they set out to help Pop. Flash inadvertently allows a photo shop to develop his pictures which is the front for a blackmail ring. Kay is kidnapped by the ring, and Flash and a reporter go after her. Roaring finish, and the good guys win in the end.
