The Floating Dutchman (1953)

A body is found floating by the docks. Dermot Walsh stars as detective Alexander James who goes underground to smash a jewel-smuggling ring. The head of the ring is played by Sydney Taffler. Nice sense of tenseness maintained throughout the movie. Mary Germaine works for the bad guy and becomes the romantic interest for the good guy.
