First off, any movie that has Barry Fitzgerald in it is probably going to be worth watching. He plays the "keeper" of a man (played by John Lund) who is passing himself off as the afflicted brother of a young girl (Wanda Hendrix) who has inherited a large sum of money. Lund had been a movie stunt man before Fitzgerald recruited him for the job. The brother is missing, and Fitzgerald is afraid to come back without him.
Ray Milland has a cameo spot at the first of the movie as the actor for whom Lund is doubling. Hilo Hattie shows up toward the end as the wife of the real Skyler.
Lund, as old radio show fans will remember, was one of the actors who portrayed Johnny Dollar on the long-running program.
The romantic theme in the musical score is beautiful and very effective.
