Like most musicals of the era, this one has a lot of dance scenes, which are not interesting, unless you like dance scenes.

Slightly French (1949)
Don Ameche is a director who is an egotistical perfectionist. He pushes Adele Jergens, his temperamental star, until she drops. He goes to a carnival with his sister (Janis Carter) to relax and discovers Dorothy Lamour, who is an entertainer there. He tries to pass her off as an elegant Parisian singer. Mixed in between the musical numbers is a romantic quadrangle with Ameche and Lamour and Carter and the producer, Willard Parker. But everything ends happily. (You are surprised?)
