Murder on a Honeymoon (1935)

Vacationing in Catalina, Hildegarde Withers gets mixed up in three murders. Her old friend, New York detective Oscar Piper (James Gleason), flies out to help, but of course it's Hildegarde who cracks the case. As usual, there is quite a list of suspects. The climax of the movie is in a deserted casino - dark and creepy. The husband (Harry Ellerbe) of the honeymooning couple is killed, in a tragic scene a little out of the ordinary in this quasi-comic series. However, it turns out not to be quite so tragic, because the wife (Dorothy Libaire) turns out to be the murderer.

Our old friend Willie Best has a minor but important part, billed as Sleep 'n' Eat.
