Ben Withers (Lum and Abner)
Withers was a character in some of the later radio programs, portrayed by actor Clarence Hartzell. He had a very unique accent that sounded like a New Englander with a slightly-stopped-up nose. Great fun!

He added a lot to the Lum and Abner show...one of the few voices that wasn't done by the two originators of the show...A funny guy. They were all way better than anything we have now.
