City Detective: "Desert Ice"

Rod Cameron stars as Detective Lt. Bart Grant. He head out into the desert to arrest crusty Andy Clyde. He hates to do it, because the old man had not been hurting anyone. On the way back the stop to pick up a couple whose car has broken down (Ross Elliott). They ask to be taken into Nogales, but Cameron refuses to go that far out of the way - until Elliott pulls a gun. Clyde tries to get his shotgun out of the car and they shoot him. They force Cameron to drive them, but he wrecks the car, and they flee. When Cameron gets back to the shack, he finds that Clyde somehow survived. He hides him, then destroys all the sources of water except some for himself and Clyde - just before Elliott and the girl begin firing at him. The next morning Elliott discovers that the car is disabled. They see the reflection from Cameron's binoculars and come after him, but are not willing to go into the rocks to get him. Next morning the girl tricks Cameron out of the rocks, saying that she has killed Elliott and all she wants is to get out. He flings a dead rattlesnake at her, and she falls and knocks herself out.
