Bottle rockets are dangerous

They are not high explosives, but if bottle rockets are not used carefully, they can be very dangerous, even disabling. Years ago, when I worked for the toy company in Booneville, Arkansas, we had a toy store for the public. One day when I was manning the store, a young man came in to make some purchases. I noticed that something was wrong with one of his eyes, but said nothing about it naturally. However, in the course of the conversation, he brought up the fact that he and a friend had been having a battle with bottle rockets, and he had been hit in the eye and it had destroyed his pupil. He looked strange, and I am sure it caused him all manner of problems. I suspect he was virtually blind in that eye.
