Green Hornet and Lone Ranger theme music

These two masked heroes were developed by the same people and were in fact kin (the Green Hornet was the Lone Ranger's grandnephew). Both radio series used classical music as their theme: the William Tell Overature for the Ranger and The Flight of the Bumblebee for the Hornet. Both themes became linked with the respective hero in the minds of young listeners.

In this episode of the Hornet, he tells his father that he is the masked man, and his father makes mention of an ancestor of theirs who had been a vigilante in Texas (the Lone Ranger), while the William Tell Overture briefly swells in the background. LINK
