Customs Agent (1950)

This is a movie in somewhat documentary style about, as one might assume, the U. S. Customs department. William Eythe plays an agent whose partner has been killed in the line of duty. He goes undercover to discover the killers. The style does not lessen the tenseness of the plot. Strong cast for this style movie.

Jim Backus is the chief Shanghai agent, Eythe's boss. Marjorie Reynolds works for the drug smugglers. Denver Pyle (Briscoe Darling from The Andy Griffith Show) is one of the smugglers.
