Teach your children to think.

Teach them to observe, to observe discriminatingly, and to reason. Teach them to reason accurately, not in accordance with prevailing logic or trends. Teach them to value truth. Teach them to understand that there are absolutes, and what those absolutes are. Make them exercise their minds. That will be an increasingly rare quality in humans as our minds become atrophied due to electronics.
