Cliff Arquette on Fibber & Molly

Cliff Arquette was one of the funniest characters who would appear on the Fibber McGee and Molly show. He typically paid a masher who got their names mixed up, and then would make a play for Molly. For instance, on one show Molly says, "I'm plumb tuckered from stumbling." Arquette then addresses her as Mrs. Tuckered.

Arquette would go on to greater notoriety as Charlie Weaver, a fixture on the game show Hollywood Squares.
