As you listen to some of the later episodes of the Fibber McGee and Molly radio show, when Reynolds Aluminum sponsored it, you will notice that Harlow Wilcox, the announcer, plugs the fact that competition brought on by Reynolds Aluminum had helped keep prices low. If you investigate a little corporate history, you will find that in the administration of Franklin Roosevelt, the government charged Alcoa with monopolistic practices, and this is no doubt what the adds were referencing.
