"In death all sailors have an unmistakable dignity."

That is a very interesting statement made by James D. Hornfischer in his book, Neptune's Inferno. Never having observed this firsthand, I could not have known it for myself. And if it is true even in only the most general sense, it still is a tremendous tribute to that class of men.
