Ken Curtis - can you believe it is the same person?
See the pictures below, first as a part of a singing group in the John Wayne movie Rio Grande, and second as Festus on Gunsmoke. Believe it or not, Curtis replaced Frank Sinatra as the singer for the Tommy Dorsey band. Youtube link
