Vengeance and justice

"Vengeance is mine," God says. He claims that prerogative exclusively for himself. We must distinguish, however, between vengeance, which is personal retribution, and justice, which is the administration of that which is righteous. Justice we are to do, but we are to leave vengeance in the hands of the Almighty.
