A Well-turned Phrase: Why I publish quotations here

This is a miscellaneous blog. I put here whatever occurs to me and whatever strikes my fancy. Some of the posts are most serious, but many are silly and frivolous. There is no rhyme nor reason to the structure or content other than my own reason (or, some might argue, lack of it). However, there is some reason or other for all the posts.

I enjoy a well-turned phrase. I appreciate those who are able to use the English language well, whether artistically or forcefully. Thus you will find many quotes from writers that have no more reason for being here other than that I enjoyed the way the phrase was expressed.
