Jan Struther sounded good on the radio

Jan Struther first made her fame as the author of Mrs. Minniver, which was subsequently made into one of the all-time great movies. So her name was familiar. However, she later became a frequent guest on the Information Please radio program. She proved herself to be a knowledgeable panelist. Even further, she had a wonderful radio voice. It was soft and fluid, with one of those wonderful English accents that is so easy on the ear. Not all of them are, but hers definitely was.
