Stubbornness can be a wonderful virtue or an irritating vice. Perhaps “vice” is not exactly the right word, but certainly a negative quality, and stubbornness certainly can lead to different kinds of vice is it runs unchecked. If it makes a man staunch for that which is right, rooted and grounded in the truth, then it is a wonderful thing. If it makes a man impossible to work with because of his unbounded selfishness and self-centeredness, then it is an ugly thing. Just an example of a personality trait that can break either way.
